Mishawaka Troop Town
MTT, founded in late 2019 by Jim Metherd, Dan Gann, and Warren Seegers, all veterans, began as a response to the plight of approximately 50 homeless veterans in their local area. Their initiative, initially a community project, grew into Mishawaka Troop Town. Now firmly established, MTT’s objective is clear: to offer housing and essential services to assist homeless veterans in rebuilding their lives with purpose and productivity.

We understand the unique circumstances of Veterans and acknowledge the exceptional sacrifices they’ve made for our nation. It’s our duty to dedicate our utmost efforts to meeting their needs. Additionally, we will uphold and honor the dignity of every resident under our care. MTT remains steadfast in its mission to empower veterans with the skills necessary for healthier living, fostering community engagement, and offering comprehensive spiritual, mental, and physical support.

Funds Raised
As of September 16th, 2021, Mishawaka Troop Town (MTT) has successfully secured $110,000 in funding. This significant financial support empowers us to acquire property near VFW Post 360 on Jefferson in Mishawaka, thereby initiating construction activities. Our ultimate objective is to raise a total of $600,000, which will be utilized to construct seven to eight homes while also covering operational expenses for the initial three years. With your generous contributions, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of individuals and families in need within our community.
Currently we are around $250,000 and are looking to make this even more with this year’s fundraising!
